Wide Eye Internship

As an intern for Wide Eye, I led visual design and client communication for WE's MoveOn retainer, and led collateral design for ChildAction and Center for Reproductive Rights. I also assisted with content entry for SaverLife and produced case studies for WE's internal marketing.

TIMELINE-

June–September, 2025 (14 Weeks)

TEAM-

Wide Eye Creative, Managed by Sebastian Arredondo

CONTEXT

Can you make the logo bigger?

As an intern, I was tasked with taking on a wide range of work, from rapid response graphics that were delivered within a couple hours of their request at MoveOn to collateral delivered via a formal client presentation for ChildAction. In both, my goal was to anticipate the client's needs and deliver work that balanced refinement with timeline and context.

MOVEON RAPID RESPONSE

THE TASK

Rapid response graphics needed to be delivered before the headlines changed.

My manager and I co-led Rapid Response graphics for social media and various other applications. This is a sampling of the graphics I created. Most rapid response graphics had to be completed in 1-2 hours max for us to stay on top of requests. Each graphic involved direct communication with the client, delivery, and revisions.

IMPACT

Reached hundreds of thousands of people per Instagram post & grew the account by over 30,000 followers

WON'T BACK DOWN

THE TASK

A national campaign to flip the House.

I worked on collateral for Won't Back Down, a rally series aimed at re-taking the House in 2026. I co-created social media graphics, badges, lanyards, stage scrims, podium signs, billboards, invitations, crowd signage, and more.

FAMILIES FIRST

THE TASK

As the Trump Administration was in the process of passing the "Big Beautiful Bill," which cuts social services for millions, MoveOn approached Wide Eye with an urgent brand request for their national campaign called Families First.

My manager was taking a sick day, so I independently developed the style tile for the brand in a single workday. The brand had to be cohesive with Caring Across Generations' "Protect Medicaid Summer" campaign while feeling like an independent mission.

I created a wordmark, generated brand colors, and created high-resolution collageable assets. Core elements of the brand included the summer sun and water, and hand-done elements to appeal to the familial target audience.

Through Families First, MoveOn raised thousands of pounds of food and held over 200 community events across the country.

CHILD ACTION

THE TASK

For ChildAction, I led collateral design, which involved expanding and clarifying brand guidelines to balance brand cohesion with versatility.

The client had minimal experience in design, so I built out templates in PowerPoint, Canva, and Constant Contact.

**Because the re-brand is in the process of being implemented, the collateral I created is currently confidential. Feel free to contact me directly if you'd like to see more.

IMPACT

Contributed to a redesign that will both celebrate ChildAction's legacy in childcare and grow their reach, enabling them to support more kids.

REFLECTION

This summer flew by, and I can't express how grateful I was to work for Wide Eye. I learned to balance timeline with quality and client needs. I practiced and shadowed the process of brand development, from intake to delivery, and was able to present work directly to clients. I balanced many tasks, attended meetings, collaborated, critiqued, and implemented feedback. And, I was able to work for missions that I truly believe in.

While the news cycle is exhausting, I'm so thankful for the opportunity to try and make the world a little better with my career.
